Clubs & Activities
At Seymour Junior High, we want every student to have opportunities to discover new interests, develop their talents, and build meaningful connections beyond the classroom. Our clubs and activities give students a variety of ways to get involved, try something new, grow in confidence, and become an active part of our school community.
We encourage families to explore the many opportunities available and talk with their students about where they may want to get connected. Whether through leadership, service, academics, athletics, the arts, faith-based groups, or other special interests, there is a pathway for students to find something they enjoy and make the most of their time at Seymour Junior High.

Art Club at Seymour Junior High isn’t your average Art Club. Students develop their artistic skills, explore different types of media, and assist with school events such as carnivals, decorations, and choir performances; and the club takes a field trip each year. Members are also encouraged to enter art competitions, and several club members have earned recognition for their work. Art Club meets on Tuesday mornings at 7:15 a.m. and once a month after school.

Career Exploration helps students begin thinking about their future by connecting their interests, strengths, and goals to possible career pathways. Students may explore a variety of occupations, learn about education and training requirements, develop workplace-ready skills, and consider how the choices they make now can influence future opportunities. The course is designed to help students build self-awareness, set goals, and gain a better understanding of the many possibilities available to them after high school.

FCA (Fellowship of Christian Athletes) is a faith-based student organization that encourages students to grow in their relationship with Christ while building friendships and supporting one another. While FCA has a strong connection to athletics, participation is open to all students. We gather together at 7:20am every Wednesday morning in the gym. Meetings may include devotionals, prayer, discussion, games, and opportunities for students to connect in a positive and encouraging environment.

Students meet each Friday morning at 7:15 to connect with one another, hear a brief message or devotional, and grow together in a welcoming environment. All students are invited to attend.
